Naturopathic Medicine

A Naturopath's aim is to establish and maintain health and wellness. A Naturopath has at their disposal a wide range of therapies including herbal medicine, nutrition, massage and lifestyle advice in which to treat the cause of illness and it's symptoms.

At a time when modern technology, pollution, poor diet and stress play an enormous role in health issues, the profession of the Naturopath is increasing in importance. Naturopaths can treat both acute and chronic ailments.

Herbal Medicine

Herbal Medicine is the oldest form of medicine known to mankind - it has withstood the test of time. It is used to assist the body in it's own processes of self-healing. Herbal medicines are non-suppressive - they strengthen, support and rebalance the constitution, increasing resistance to disease and hence promoting healing.

As a qualified Medical Herbalist, I have detailed and up to date knowledge of interactions between conventional drugs and herbal medicines. Therefore, I can provide safe and effective treatment alongside conventional medicine.

Indian head massage

Indian head massage has evolved from traditional techniques practised in India for over a thousand years. The treatment is a seated massage through the clothing to the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, face and scalp. Please note that I do not use oils for this massage.

Indian head massage involves working with a firm and gentle rhythm to help melt away stress and tension and to improve blood circulation to the head promoting relaxation and relieving stress. However, it's effect also works on an emotional level too by the calming the spirit and mind. It is a great therapy for tension headaches.
